About the Journal

The Open Research Bulletin (ORB), launched in 2025 by the University of Sussex's Open Research Group, aims to be a dynamic resource that addresses the evolving needs of researchers worldwide. It provides timely updates and context on the latest standards, policies, and best practices in open research. With a diverse readership, ORB is dedicated to supporting the global research community and those who champion open research. Each issue focuses on a distinct theme related to Open Research, and features a diverse collection of articles that explore key topics and offer practical guidance. These resources are designed to enhance researchers' understanding and fluency in open research principles, helping them navigate and adopt best practices with confidence. In our News & Views section, we spotlight recent awards and recognitions given to individuals who are advancing the awareness and implementation of open research practices.
